Hello! :D

Im a 14-year old from Norway, and I have been playing the Ocarina for exactly 3 days xD!
I bought the Sweet Potato XL Extended from SongBird, and I'm quite happy with it :)
Just wanted to say hello to everyone :D

I'm a Zelda fan, so I play mostly Zelda on my Ocarina!
The only thing that I'm not happy with is that the Sweet Potato XL is way to small! :D But it sounds great though...

Hello, I am Danny, otherwise known as EVPpsycho. I have been playing the 5 hole english pendant and the Langely Double Ocarina for about 3 1/2 years. I live in a large town in central New Jersey, America, and I have a great passion for music. I have influienced greatly from docjazz4 and Darryn Songbird, and I am glad to see them progress. Take care, and god bless.

Hey whats up? Name's Charles and I've been playing the ocarina for a year now, I have the Songbird Sweet Potato Extended Range Zelda Replica. I practice every day and I'd like to meet a lot of fellow ocarinists here. I've also been influenced by Darryn Songbird and of course The Legend of Zelda series. I'm very interested into music, anime, nature, videogames, especially classical music, oldies, you name it!

Newbie!

Postby The Great Ninja Aoi-Chan! on Thu Mar 13, 2008 11:49 pm

Hilos~! I'm THE GREAT NINJA AOI-CHAN! <3
(But most of my friends call me Blu~! :3)

I've been playing the ocarina since....Monday! xD
I've played the flute, both a modern style (Yamaha) and a bamboo one I bought at a renaissance fair. Though, I quit after a year and no longer play due to my family's impatience with my mess ups. ( Sometimes I practice in secret! <3 But my lip ring gets stuck! D: )

Anywhoooo~
My male adult figure was very much into Native American things, and had bought my sister and I Peruvian ocarinas. Six holes on top, and two on the bottom. I had barely picked it up, until ( Yes I admit it, it's shameful though ) I decided to cosplay as Link for this upcoming con. When I started trying to play things on it, I found it a LOT harder than I thought! xO
So now, I'm hoping for a 12-hole soprano like my friend has. ( Chris! He goes to my school! xD )

It's true that I'd only actually gotten motivated to trying it when I realized my next costume, but I am rather fond of woodwinds, and things that are a tad out of the norm. Not to mention challenging for my artistic side!
So I believe that this won't just last until May 17th. I'm quite sure of it! :3

I'm very excited about learning the ocarina! Very, very, excited!
Last night I spent all my three hours reading up suggestions in the forums and looking at prices for ocarinas from websites.
I decided this morning to make an account here! I just love trying new things, It's so exciting! <333

Well, hopefully I'll see you all around the forums, yeah? :3
Oh, and I'm also here to make friends! Don't be afraid to drop me a line! <33

I've been playing for about two years, but not everyday or even close to it. It's more like I go on spurts.

Hi. I just got my Ocarina two days ago...wow. It's so fun playing the thing! It's a stl 12 hole alto...I like it!! :) Well let's see...the other instruments I can play are gutair, bass, and piano/keyboard. I know lot's of music theory, so it was really easy to figure out how to play stuff. I can play standard notation, tabs, and by ear. I'm very excited about getting to know my fellow ocarinists here!! Ocarina for life!!

Hi everybody, I'm new. I haven't been playing ocarina for long but I'm picking it up now. I first got interested, as I'm sure most people did, by the Legend of Zelda.
