Mij..

Postby Mijrin on Sat Oct 13, 2007 6:11 pm

Um, this is Mijrin.
I got my ocarina.. 2 years ago I think, it's sweet potato XL from songbirdocarina.com...
That time I didn't know that ocarina existed in life, but a zelda-fan-friend shocked me by saying it does...

So I went and ordered mine, just for fun, he ordered his just for collection..
Also in FFXI; an online game, I chose the job "Bard."...
So I got interested in wind instruments.

I think I'll be only playing Transverse(Potato) ocarinas.
I currently own The Sweet Potato XL..
And I got Extended Fairy from songbirdocarinas.com and 2 Tenor/Bass ocarinas from Hindocarina.com on the way.

My skills doesn't look like 2-years old one, but I hope I can entertain...

Side note: I can't real musical notes. I don't understand any G# FaBc.x..... or anything, but I got that spirit of playing.
-----Edit:
1- Sorry I didn't know that Sweet potato isn't a transverse, anyways I'll only be playing the ocarinas that looks like a transverse.
2-Currently studying how to read music sheets, if anyone can assist me please add me on MSN..
RedMan_Blackout@hotmail.com Thank you.

Pleased to meet you at Ocarinas United :)

Just a note that Songbird's Sweet Potato XL is not a true transverse ocarina, but a Pendant with modified shape. You will find that a truly transverse ocarina is held differently and uses completely different fingering pattern ;)

Kissing

Well it is impossible for it to be transverse with only 4 holes.
All transverse must have atleast 7 holes to be played normally.
Goodbye OcarinasUnited.

I'm getting bored of you.

I have a Mountain Ocarina. I've been playing only for about six months, but I Play a lot of other woodwinds.
Signature...? I realy don't have one, so I guess I won't put any.

Hey everyone! I think it's only proper to post here before anywhere else. ;)
I have been playing the ocarina sinse August 28 2005. I play a 6 hole Songbird Zelda Ocarina.
I couldn't read music notes to save my life... I rely on tabs and ear.
I haven't created any of my own songs, but I enjoy playing Zelda songs aswell as most video game music.

That's pretty much all anyone needs to know ;)
