Annoying Adds on Forum

Postby Docjazz4 on Thu Jan 24, 2008 8:30 am

I just wanted to let everyone know that I accidentally activated all of these annoying blue adds while exploring the administration panel. Unfortunately, they cannot be deactivated until February 1 so we're going to have to ignore them for the next few days. Thanks for your patience :)

Yeah I noticed them poping up. Glad you found a way to disable them again, even if it'll take a while till it happens. I was doing a pretty good job of ignoring it though lol
I would love to change the world... but they won't give me the source code!

Yeah, I was seeing them despite the Firefox/Adblock Plus combo. I downloaded YesScript and put this site on the blacklist, so that it doesn't run any javascript. It disables some other handy features, but I don't mind those so much.

Which ones? (Purely interested in it  )

(We're dealing with JavaScripts in computer classes right now.)

Those handy dandy Word-like formatting widgets at the top of the editing window are the first ones I noticed (you know, for bold, italic, font color, things like that).

Oh... Yes, I expected that.... It's kinda interesting how web-pages are built together!

(P.S.: I LOVE the term "handy dandy"! )

They should teach you about MySQL. MySQL is one of the most important web designing tool/language thing to learn, IMO.
Goodbye OcarinasUnited.

I'm getting bored of you.

Just be prepared: MySQL IS HARD.

I'm a programmer and I'm saying it's hard.
