I voted for an older system as well. I still have my N64 for one game, and one game only and that would be Ogre Battle 64.

That was probably my all time favourite game (apart from the Zelda series). I would play it on an emulator (and I did, but my old computer was REAL bad, and I mean real bad. It didn't even have 256 GB of RAM.)

I could play on an emulator with my new monster gaming rig.... But this is more for games like Chrysis and the Total War series.

I pretty much have all of the consoles from Coleco Vision all the way up to the current Gen, and they all still work. (Except my Xbox 360. I've already gone though 5 of them, so I'm not even playing the 6th one. I just left it in the box to say that I own one.)

But I still love my PS3 and Wii, but the N64 is what brought me the most joy when I'd come home from school or work (sometimes I'd even take the day off to play a game Shhh.) So it's always going to be my favourite system.

Originally, generations were counted by bits.
NES/MasterSystem = 8Bit
SNES/Genesis = 16 Bit
PlayStation/3D0/Saturn/NeoGeo = 32 Bits
Jaguar/N64 = 64 Bits
PS2/Dreamcast/Xbox = 128 Bits.


However, that line became a lot more grey when the N64 and the PS1 competed directly for years. If you are counting from that point, as Gelfling pointed out, this is the 3rd generation. However, it is not the 3rd generations of consoles, just the 3rd Generation with 3 top competitors.

my dad recently bought me a x box 360, and I've also got a ps2 and Nintendo DS lite. We also have a couple oldschool consoles, dreamcast and nintendo 64. i' love all my consoles, at the moment I'm playing Zelda:phantom hourglass on DS, fight night on 360, grand theft auto: San Andreas on ps2, and my dad and i are playing Zelda:ocarina of time on nintendo 64...and i don't play the dreamcast much, except for when i play Mr. driller. my fave out of all my consoles would have to be...360! only because it has gamer points and achievements, but my second fave is DS, i love Nintendo and Microsoft! (and Sony)

i like my wii in all but i been playin mah DSi alot l8ly cuz i have pokemon Platinum x]

Wii! <3 It made my Zelda and my Mario even more amazing!
