Hey everyone! as it is nearing the end of September I thought we should start nominating songs for october!

My idea is to play one or more of the OoT warping songs!
-Minuet of Forest
-Bolero of Fire
-Serenade of Water
-Nocturne of Shadow
-Requiem of Spirit
-Prelude of Light

Please share your ideas!

i dont have any song in paticular so far.
but i think it should be a darker song because halloween is coming up in october. (and my birthday!!! )

I think it is a good idea to do a darker song! And The OoT songs would be best for November, the game's 10th Aniversary!

I’m a brand new ocarina player who just joined this group, but I want you all to know that you can count me in for the group songs. I have quite a habit of never doing things half heartedly. That means that even if I’ve just started learning how to play I will give it my best.

Also, I have some suggestions for a possible group song:
Frogs theme (Chrono Trigger)
Lilium (Elfen Lied)
Bratja (Fullmetal Alchemist)

At the same time I do like the idea of playing some dark song for Halloween. I don't have any really good suggestions though.
A random thought: Dark Mountain theme (Zelda - a Link to the Past)

Thank you. I've got two ocarinas from STL: a purple clay tenor and a 12 hole soprano.

well since it is nearing holloween, why not do either nocturne of shadow or this is halloween from nightmare before christmas? though i personally dont know how to do this is halloween, people may want to do that.

As a suggestion, why not have two songs for october? one for the beginning of the month and one on the day of halloween? idk, just thinking.

@nocturne of shadow, I think we should save that for next month, I'm thinking we will make all of the OoT warp songs our group song

@Nightmare before Christmas, GREAT IDEA! I love that song...though Ive never seen the movie

@ two songs, I think we should stick with just one group song, but perhaps if we can make an audio clip that automatically plays on the home page we could hold a competition. In this competition people send in an audio file of a certain song(perhaps This is Halloween). We take a poll is taken to choose whose we use to play on the OU homepage on Halloween! hope that made sense, sometimes what I write sounds like jibberish when I'm tired, and I'm tired...

I spent a few weeks looking to turn This is Halloween from Nightmare Before Christmas into ocarina playable sheet music for the October TON video challenges, but MIDIs were darn impossible and any sheet music I found to purchase was for accompaniment. I had to choose another song.

well maybe like we have like all the warp songs for next month(as ocarinaman suggested), but have people do which ever one of their choice, but can also do more than one. and maybe the title theme of oot as well (for next month). or basically any song from zelda for next month, so long as it hasn't already been done for the group songs.

Well thinking about it now, I'm personally just gonna do as many Zelda songs as i can think of for November. Whether or not it'll be for a group song. I'm gonna do the title themes to OoT and TP and like 3-5 other songs from OoT and TP (basically just started making vids and I only have done three so far). Making a total of 8-12 songs.

I don't think we should lock ourselve up too much. I mean, even though it is Halloween there will much probably be a halloween next year as well. The same goes for christmas, easter and summer. My point is that it would be rather lame if like one third of all the songs we made were seasonal - especially if its the same seasonal songs each year

I do like the idea of making something dark for Halloween, I'm just saying that we don't have to.
