My ocarina making will be taking the next step

Postby OcarinaTycoon on Tue Sep 09, 2008 1:36 am

I'm here to tell everyone who frequents this forum anymore, about my ocarina making. First and foremost, I seem to have a lot more success at making them sound great, but I'm still having a little bit of trouble making them look nice, so here's how it's going to probably work: If you like the sound of an ocarina, but don't care much about it's appearance, then the ocarinas I make would probably interest you! If you're wanting a professional look, you can go to STL or Hind, etc.

However...

I'm also going to start focusing more on making bass ocarinas. They are easier to make than an alto or other egg shape that has become my trademark (ish) and I'll be concentrating on making them in the sweet potato shape that everyone seems to love. Sure, I'll make an egg ocarina here and there, but what I'm really trying is to see how the bass ocarinas fare for me.

So, in essence, I'll be making basses exclusively, and selling them on Ebay at random times (I only have one right now) whenever I completely finish one up :) If you are tired of looking around for a bass ocarina, then I probably have what you want!

Until then, y'all have fun, now, ya hear?

GREAT!!!
I love the sound of bass ocarinas the best. Tha same goes for listening to the human voice sing - the really deep ones sound the best, IMO. :D

@ KCAJBlue: I sucked horribly at first. Now, here it is 11 months later, and look how much I improved. I'm starting to sell them on Ebay! If you were persistent too, you'd be where i'm at too!
