I too am a programmer and MySQL can be very easy if you know what your doing and use visual web devolper (but I believe the host he has doesn't support .aspx pages)
I would love to change the world... but they won't give me the source code!

I thought that as of Feb. 1st the ads would be gone?

...

nevermind, I saw that the ads are there for 30 days. So they'll be there till Feb. 23rd and not Feb. 1st.

http://forum.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=25561

it also says there how users can turn them off....

I just noticed we have google ads now. Is that a freeforums thing or is it to raise money for the domain/forum upgrades?

I just want to know if they are there intentionally or if I have spywae somewhere o__O;

2 things,

That is because you aren't working with SQL, you are working with a GUI interface that does the MySQL for you

ASP (and therefore ASPX) only work on an IIS server, which is MS proprietary. Many web servers, and especially free ones, run on Linux. Did you know that when Microsoft bought Hotmail it took them about 3 years to migrate off of the Linux backend and onto a Windows one. It's very ironic since they themselves sell (and did sell at the time) a "migration toolbox" for just that purpose. Shows you how "user friendly" Microsoft is as a server.

FYI, GUI != "user friendly" but GUI == "simple controls"
