Wow. I'm glad this topic got bumped so I could read it. My ocarina is really, really old, and the high F just goes away sometimes. I wasn't sure whether this technique would work for me or not, but it appears to be working wonderfully. Now I can actually play songs up in my higher range without having them sound like crap.

I've been having high note troubles on my double and just tried this and it sounds really clear, its pretty sweet.

I do not know if this can be used for the songbird ocarina but the highest notes are always squeaky. If I blow too gently, nothing comes out. If I blow too hard, it makes a squeak.

I tried tilting the ocarina upwards whenever I make a high note and it seems to work.

I tried it but it really doesn't work for me, I might not have been doing it right
(but my ocarina :ocarina: DOES already sound clear at the high notes( :D yay sixth street pottery :D )
