Postby ZaffoGMT on Wed Dec 31, 2008 2:59 am

Hey everone,
I'm going to start making pendant ocarinas, and I'm not too sure how to tune them. I appreciate any help I can get, thanks everyone.

you need electronic tuner and a drilling machine with drills of different thickness.

Unless you know the fingering by heart, you will need a fingering chart for reference.

The finger holes are cut when the clay is still at a "leather hard" stage. You don't need a "drilling machine" (drill motor) for this, you just twist the drill bits with your fingers. The clay is soft enough for this. :)

I have a couple pendants that are a little out of tune. Is there anything I can do to maybe fix this?

I would suggest you re-tune it. I am not completly sure that would work though.
