HELLO OCARINAS UNITED PEOPLEZ! 8D

So... Don't ask how I came upon this site, I was looking for tabs (don't know why, I discovered the STL Fingering Composer thinger a week ago and I'm in looove *knows only a lil' music theory, fails pretty much at key signatures*), and I was like "Huh.. But are ther- OMFG FORGET THE TABS THIS IS A COOL OCARINA FORUM WHERE I DON'T LOOK LIKE A WEIRDO! <3"

Well, as much of a weirdo. >>;

ANYWAY! Let's see.. I guess I should talk about the ocarina-ness before I talk about the other stuff..ness. That is me. Right.

MY FIRST OCARINA~ Came from Songbird. I think everyone's first ocarina comes from Songbird these days. They're so beginner friendly! <3 But yeah, that was only a month ago. :3 I can play my lil' alto pendant like a crazy person now! (But I still can't do amazingly pretty improvs and little trills and stuff like I see on youtube by the amazing people ;-; ) It's the one with the little Majora's Mask on it, ya know? ^^ The Zelda songbook I got later on makes me wish there was a second hole on the bottom though. :x BUT I LOVE IT ANYWAY!

Moving on, I just barely got my first twelve hole about a week ago as a Graduation present, and it's the Zelda replica from Songbird (inner Zelda nerd would NOT let me cosplay Link for Naka-kon next year without one ;-; ). I really wanted the Spencer's one, but from the looks of it he doesn't sell things anymore. :'( But that's okay! I love the one I have. ^^ I'm still struggling with it a bit though, simply because the holes are so big and my fingers are so skinny and my pinky is abnormally short. But hey, I'm sure I'll have all the Zelda songs down before the con.

SO THEN! About me! As you can probably tell, I have attention issues! It's kinda funny actually, I get to go see my psychiatrist in 3 hours to get perscribed something to help this ADD of mine!

I LOVE drawing. I draw in anime style (not really accepted in the fine arts around here, but I persist! ><Aside>3 ). Actually, I'm hoping to be the first Runescape music-playing ocarinist (that's how you say it right?) on Youtube. I haven't found anyone that plays Runescape on their ocarina.. But if I've already failed that wish, well, I hope to be one of the very few! But I guess I have to get decent at that freaking twelve hole first. *sigh*

Death Note is my favorite manga/anime. The whole mind trickery in that entire series makes me happy.

So I'm kinda all over the place. I never quite figured out how you're supposed to introduce yourself when yourself has way too many diverse interests.

Unfortunately, this is a rather dead forum, there are only 3 members left from "the days of old" being myself, moonsyne, and ocarinar! There are a few new people who will visit from time to time, but most of them don't stay here very long...

Hey Roxie. My name is Kumpy. I'm new to the ocarina world as of March. I gotta say that contradictingly, my first ocarina I got on a rock climbing trip to china! It wasnt until later I found out that my favorite game in the entire world, Legend of Zelda had a huge influence over the ocarina's popularity. The funny thing is that it is my favorite game, yet I know NONE of the songs! It was not until I began playing the ocarina that I heard all these popular ocarina songs for the very first time. My favorite game of all time is the Legend of Zelda for the original NES. I never got into nintendo 64 or any of the other zeldas. In my zelda, link only had a flute! Anyhow, my first ocarina was also a pendant. I later found out that it was made in taiwan and went under the name Feng Ya which is really similar to focalink. I am also diagnoised with ADD, i control it and I'm actually ok, i have seen a psychiatrist but I do not anymore. Hey, check out my videos on youtube! Rock climbing in China? O.O Woooaaaahh.. That sounds like so much fun. ;-; Wish I could go anywhere outside of the US, but alas I has no moneyz.

Nice to meet you Roxie, I usually go by either "Donnerschlag", "Kissaki", or "Quetzal" online, depending on which forum i'm on.
My first ocarina was a Songbird as well (Zelda OOT extended range replica), but I lost interest for about 4-5 years and picked up a 10-hole recently. It seems like every ocarinist tends to do something like this!
