Just got an Ocarina

Postby pamplemousse on Sun Aug 16, 2009 2:11 pm

I just got an Ocarina when I was visiting Chelsea, Michigan yesterday. It's a Pendant Ocarina with very nice African art on it. I was wondering where I could learn how to play it correctly since I just got it and where I could find easy songs to play for a beginner. Also, how can I properly care for it since it's made out of wood?
Here are some pictures of it:

Congratulations on your first ocarina pamplemousse!

I would recommend checking out www.theocarinanetwork.com

it is another ocarina forum that is still quite active! Unfortunately this forum isn't very active these days :(

With a more active community, we will be able to answer all of your questions thoroughly!

If you would really prefer to have your questions here rather than there, I can do so, but on the ocarina network(TON) you will be able to find well organized resources including fingering charts, sheet music(or tabs if you prefer), plus tons of guides for making ocarinas, lists of ocarinas makers, and lots more!
