you could only find the cheap cecelia brand? I can barely find them, and I don't think they play bad. I prefer the Cecelia tone, it's deep and low but still plays like a Soprano Bb. It's hard to describe.
I have always wanted a rosewood alto/tenor clarinet.
If we're talking about the same brand? It's Cecelio, not Cecilia, just checked. I'm talking about the horrid cheap plastic ones that are all over Ebay. Is there a good brand called Cecilia? Maybe the cheap import ones are cashing in on the name.
If you're looking a good Rosewood, there's a cracker little company in England called Hanson, who hand make really affordable rosewoods, and they're amazing quality. Okay so they're not one of the 'Big Four' (LeBlanc, Selmer, Yamaha or Buffet) but they should be! Check em out if you want :
I bought a Cecilia Clarinet some time ago, I can not find ANY information about them now. It was made out of some kind of wood, it was pretty durable and sounded pretty neat.
I've heard of Hanson before, But I can't find any Alto Clarinets by them. =7
Then it must be a different brand, since celcilio are horrible cheap bits of plastic shaped like clarinets
I can't find anything on ceclia either.....Hanson also do custom orders, or try clarinuts!:
http://www.clarinuts.com/clarinuts/pages/vision.asp This guy remasters woodwind instruments so they're as good as new, and he has a good selection. It's where I got my Dazzler- it was $199, and they usually go for $600-$700!
Lets see... I play the ocarina (obviously), bass guitar, a little acoustic guitar, I mess around with the recorder every once and a while, and I am also trying to learn the piano... thats about it...
I play Guitar and Piano. I like playing the Piano more then the Guitar because its easier to play. The Guitar is much more difficult to learn because of the positioning of your fingers on the Frets.
